Brian + Abby : tying the knot

May 21, 2010

You know those relationships in high school that you never know if you’ll see the person again, but you really hope so? Abby was one of those girls to me. Very creative, greatly supportive, and always had your back. I once dated this guy that wound up breaking my heart (my high school heart) and she had the guts to tell him he was being a jerk, while I cried. I always loved her for that. Thanks, girl.
But then we graduated, went on with life and I never saw her again. . . until my daughter’s (amazing!) preschool teacher had me photograph her newborn, Easton. (precious!) Abby is Easton’s aunt. Small world! Early this spring, Brian, Abby & I got together to do their engagement session. It was so good to see her again, and I could not wait to photograph their wedding. The love and dedication between these two you don’t see everyday. And they’re gorgeous together, too! I know, I know. Show us the photos! Here’s a sneak peek at their big day.

Abby + Brian : Engaged.

March 29, 2010

It’s the classic story of boy meets girl. Girl calls boy to tell him something random, like his headlight on his car is out. Boy asks girl to dinner. And now they’re engaged. Doesn’t it always happen like that? These two are quite simply adorable together. They fit together like peanut butter + jelly. I absolutely can not wait till their wedding in May! Congrats Abby + Brian!

This little man is just precious. He snoozed away nearly the entire time and even gave me a smile! Thank you so much, Amy, for having me over. It was pure joy!

Helping Hearts: <3 for Haiti

January 26, 2010

Seeing the photographs and testimonies coming out of Haiti break my heart. I want to adopt one of the adorable orphans or donate millions of dollars or fly over there and rescue someone out of a building. I wish I had those type of resources.

Amber Hagedorn : : Senior 2010

December 6, 2009

To say it was cold could be the biggest understatement of the year. When I pulled up to Amber’s home, it was 18 degrees outside! With Starbucks & four packs of hot-hands we headed out to shoot her senior photos. Craziness – I know!
She is gorgeous; beautiful big golden brown eyes! She was a trooper and we discovered all sorts of new places to shoot in her hometown. Thanks Amber! & Congrats!!
